Russian military team visits Waziristan

Deputy Chief of General Staff, Colonel General Israkov Sergi Yuryevich headed a Russian military delegation who visited Miran Shah North Waziristan Agency and Wanna, South Waziristan Agency on Thursday.
According to the ISPR, the Russian military delegation was briefed about the Pakistan-Afghanistan border management as well as the socio-economic development projects that had been undertaken in the area.
After being briefed about Pakistan Army's efforts to root out and drive militants from FATA, the Russian military delegation appreciated Pakistan Army's role in fighting terrorism and bringing stability in the region.
Lieutenant General Nazir Ahmed Butt, Commander Peshawar Corps accompanied the delegation, stated the ISPR.
