Quetta DFA and Chaman have qualified for semi-finals after playing close matches in the second two quarter finals of the PPL Balochistan Football Cup 2017.
The teams of Nushki in yellow and Chaman wearing white exhibited quality football display with ball possession, dribbling, dodging and passing, however, Chaman made its way to the semi-finals with only goal of the match scored by Mohammad Tahir in the 22nd minute. Goal-keeper of Nushki, Sher Zaman was declared the Man of the Match.
Zaman received the award from the guest of the honour, the former cricketer and Pakistan Cricket Board's Selector Tauseef Ahmed.
The quarter final between red DFA Quetta versus white Kharan brought victory for DFA Quetta with 1-0. In a competitive match, both teams made attempts and also made altogether 19 fouls - a record in a race to qualify for the semi-finals.
Towards the end of the match, as the spectators were expecting the penalty kicks to be awarded, DFA Quetta's Yaqoob Khan scored the deciding goal for his team in the stoppage time of the match.
Yaqoob Khan was awarded the Man of the Match by Chief Corporate Communication, Anita Shah Lakyary being the chief guest.
Both the matches played at the Sadiq Shaheed Football Stadium (Malibagh), Quetta were highly appreciated by a large number of spectators who appreciated PPL's efforts towards organizing the tournament.
The two semi-finals will be played on March 31 and final on April 2 at Ayub Stadium, Quetta.-PR
