On Thursday, at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,167. The total traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 8.13 billion and the number of lots traded was 17,242.
Major business was contributed by currencies through COTS amounting to PKR 3.48 billion, followed by gold PKR 2.75 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.64 billion, silver PKR 182.49 million, copper PKR 67.89 million and Brent crude oil PKR 0.597 million. In addition to this, in agricultural commodities, 30 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 12.10 million were also traded.
