PAD warns ginning factory owners

The Punjab Agriculture Department has warned all the ginning factory owners to destroy pink bollworm larva in cotton remnants by March 31 or be ready to face an action under Section 144.
According to the departmental spokesman, the department has recommended to enforce section 144 under off season cotton management formula aimed at eradication of pink bollworm. The department has written a letter to all the deputy commissioners of the province asking them to take action under Section 144 against those ginning factories who fail to destroy the remnants of cotton by March 31.
