On Wednesday, at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,093. The total traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 2.70 billion and the number of lots traded was 7,654.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 1.08 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 969.05 million, WTI crude oil PKR 515.10 billion, silver PKR 89.25 million, copper PKR 31.06 million and Brent crude oil PKR 17.60 million. In addition to this, in agricultural commodities, 25 lot of cotton amounting to PKR 9.61 million was also traded.
