Public holiday in Sindh on 11th Rabi ul Awwal

KARACHI: There will be a public holiday in Sindh on 11th Rabi ul Awwal falling on Saturday.

This decision was taken at a high level meeting held here on Thursday with the Governor Sindh, Dr Ishrat ul Ebad Khan.

Meanwhile, the Sindh Home Minister, Manzoor Hussain Wassan, informed the meeting that a complete security plan has been prepared with regard to the 12th Rabi ul Awwal which would be fully implemented.

The ulema from various schools of thought also attended the meeting and they expressed their solidarity.

They said that with unity, tolerance and cohesion we can face the challenges confronted by the country.

Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat ul Ebad Khan lauded the unity and cohesion during Muharram and hoped that the same spirit would be exhibited during the Rabi ul Awwal.

Dr Ishrat also issued directives for the provision of electricity and water as well as the cleanliness and other matters.

Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wassan informed the meeting that a plan has been prepared with regard to Rabi ul Awwal.
