The Punjab Planning and Development Department in collaboration with Punjab Economic Research Institute (PERI) organized a consultative session on "Review of Medical Teaching Facilities" based on a study jointly conducted by P&D and Contech International at P&D Complex Lahore.
Chairman P&D Jahanzeb Khan, Dr Shabana Haider, Member Health P&D Board, Vice Chancellor University of Health Sciences, Vice Chancellor King Edward Medical University, representatives of Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department and members of P&D Board attended the session.
Representatives from both private and public sector medical colleges, along with those of Postgraduate Medical Institute (PGMI), and Children Hospital & Institute of Child Health also attended the session. Participants gave their valuable comments on various issues regarding facilities and medical education problems. The comments are to be incorporated in the final version of "Review on Medical Teaching Facilities". While addressing the session, Jahanzeb Khan emphasized upon the ongoing increase in the development schemes, within the health sector and noted down all the comments and suggestions shared by the participants.
