253 arrested in Peshawar search operation

Police and security forces have claimed that they have arrested about 253 people during search operations in different parts of Peshawar. According to reports, the operations were carried out in Tajabad, Omeedabad, Nasir Bagh and Karkhano Market areas of Peshawar. According to police, about 222 arrested people were suspects while 31 were detained for not providing required documents about the rent. The security forces and police searched 140 houses, three hotels and four hostels. The law enforcement agencies also recovered weapons and alcohol from the possession of some of the suspects.
