Tourist-attraction destinations: Country will get rid of foreign debts if KP govt supported: Siraj-ul-Haq
Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer, Sirajul Haq said on Saturday that if the federal government was supported Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, it would get rid the country from the foreign debts. He said that KP has number of tourist-attraction destinations, which could generate hefty revenue to get rid the country from foreign loans. He praised the performance of local government and education institutions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, due to which international institutions, also appreciated them.
JI Ameer was addressing at Government Higher Secondary School Samarbagh Dir Upper. He said that if they were get chance to form government in the country, would increase education budget from 2 to four percent. He added that his government would top priority to ensure safety and security of people, along with promotion of quality education and provision of best healthcare facilities. Sirajul Haq said that they would also introduce uniform education system across the country and bring the national education curriculum as per current demand.
JI chief said: "KP has huge potential to generate electricity, if the federal government would make investment in hydel power generation sector in the province, might be overcome with increasing current energy crisis, and Pakistan enlisted among electricity exporting countries, he added.
Haq said there are number of opportunities for promotion of local as well as international tourism, which could generate hefty revenue in the province. If the federal government would extend support to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, so it can use tourism as tool for getting rid the country from foreign debts. "We want uniform education system in the country to not put burden of parents. Government should take responsibility of education for all children in the country, JI chief said. He added that our motive to introduce education system, in which there will be no difference of rich and poor, if we get chance to form government in the country. Meanwhile, the JI ameer, Senator Sirajul Haq also held meeting with elders during his two-day along visit to Dir Upper and discussed the issues were being faced by people in the area.
