Chief Minister of Punjab Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif paid a visit to Greater Iqbal Park after visiting Mazar-e-Iqbal on the eve of Yaum-e-Iqbal on Wednesday. PM reviewed the pace of work and various parts of the park. Commissioner Lahore Division and Director General PHA gave a briefing to the Chief Minister on the development work. The Chief Minister also inspected the lake, dancing fountains, food court, parking area and play area as well as other sections being built in the Greater Iqbal Park.
Speaking on the occasion, Shehbaz Sharif said that Greater Iqbal Park is the first and unique project that would explain the importance of Pakistan ideology to the young generation.
He said Pakistan was achieved after supreme sacrifices under the dynamic leadership of Quaid-e-Azam and Pakistan Movement is unprecedented in the history of the world. He said it is national obligation to introduce new generation with the sacrifices of the founders of the country during Pakistan Movement. He told that a history museum is also being constructed under the project related to Pakistan Movement.
Shehbaz Sharif said that Greater Iqbal Park will be a masterpiece of quality and a state-of-the-art project that will play an important role to highlight the importance of cultural and historical heritage of Pakistan. The best recreational facilities will become available to the people with the completion of the project, he added.
