Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, Chief of Awami Muslim League (AML) is making hectic efforts to narrow down differences between Pakistan Terhreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan and opposition leader in National Assembly Syed Khurheed Ahmed Shah. After a meeting of Public Accounts Committee (PAC), Sheikh, who is also member of the top parliamentary watchdog, literally begged Shah to stop talking against PTI chairman, who often dubbed him as 'double Shah'.
Sheikh did not elaborate why he wanted to patch between the two arch rivals - Imran and Shah- but his reconciliatory approach did pay off as Shah agreed to discuss the issue with him in person. "Why do you talk against Imran Khan all time Shah Ji plz stop it...I beg you," Sheikh continued, which prompted the opposition leader in NA who is also a close aide of Asif Ali Zardri to say: why not, ain't I a citizen of this country".
The lawmakers belonging to different political parties especially ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) also witnessed the interesting conversation between Sayeen and the Sheikh at a time when Supreme Court is looking into controversial Panama Leaks case, involving children of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
"Talking about politics at work is tricky business as government's people are also present here so let us wrap it up on this happy note and talk about it in private," Shah quipped dashed off to his chamber, holding the hand of the Sheikh from Rawalpindi.
