Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday decided to file cases against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister Punjab, Federal Interior Minister and Inspector General Punjab for taking violent action against Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak and his cabinet ministers and party workers. This was decided at a meeting chaired by PTI Chairman Imran Khan. KP Chief Minister along with his cabinet members also attended the meeting.
The meeting was given detailed briefing and it was decided to take legal action against federal government for its violent moves against CM KP, cabinet ministers and citizens of the province. The meeting decided to file cases against PM, CM Punjab, Federal Interior Minister and IG Punjab for taking violent action against KP Chief Minister and cabinet ministers and citizens of KP.
Pervaiz Khattak said the federal government violated orders of Islamabad and Lahore High Court and misused state machinery against him and his cabinet ministers. PTI Chairman Imran Khan endorsed the decision of KP government stating that federal as well as Punjab government made bids to harm federation contrary to the constitution of Pakistan.
Imran also said that PTI would support and endorse stance of KP government. Chief Minister Khattak also announced to review decision as taken against Afghan women Sharbat Gula, adding health facilities would be provided to Sharbat Gul on humanitarian ground.
The issue of Sharbat Gul would also be discussed with federal government in accordance of the court's judgment, said CM Pervaiz Khattak. It is worth mentioning here that PTI Chairman Imran Khan had appealed to KP government through social media not to expel Sharbat Gul from Pakistan.
PTI also demanded resignation of Minister for Railway Khawaja Saad Rafiq, saying Pakistan Railways had become the most corrupt institution during his tenure. According to the press statement released by PTI Central Media Department, PTI's strategic committee meeting held with Chairman PTI in the chair here at Bani Gala on Saturday.
PTI demanded resignation of Khawaja Saad Rafiq because of his lack of interest to look after the affairs of his ministry, as he was more interested to defend Prime Minister and his family to safeguard his ministry. PTI spokesperson said people were dying in trains accidents on daily basis, while Saad Rafiq was busy in fighting the case of Sharif family.
He said that during last three years hundreds of people had lost their lives, but he was little bother about them; hence he demanded that Saad Rafiq should immediately be relieved of his duty and case of the people killed in the accident should be registered against him. The spokesperson said that Auditor General of Pakistan in its report rated Pakistan Railways as the most corrupt institutions of the country, as it unearthed corruption worth Rs 9 billion in the department.
He said Railways Minister was utilising all energy to defend the 'Royal Sharif Family' of the Panama scandal instead of focusing bringing any improvement in the Railways. Saad Rafiq left no stone unturned to get the slot of Information Minister, but he faced embarrassment, he maintained. He said the Minister should also be held accountable for billions of embezzlement in Pakistan Railways as well as theft of scrap from the warehouses of Railways.
