District Swabi: agreement signed on establishment of Education & Health City

Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Tehsil Nazim, Lahore and landowners on Friday signed a formal agreement for the establishment of Education & Health City at Chota Lahore (district Swabi). The signing ceremony for the purpose was held here at Speaker House with Speaker KP Assembly, Asad Qaiser in the chair.
Air Commodore Amin Khan, Squadron Leader Sharafat Khan and Tehsil Nazim, Chota Lahore, Sohail Khan, members of district and tehsil councils, landowners and local notables attended the ceremony. Under the tripartite agreement, the landowners will transfer 1,000 kanal land at Nabi area of district Swabi in the name of Pakistan Air Force (PAF), on which the later will construct a mega project of Education and Health City.
In the proposed project, separate cadet colleges for boys and girls will be established, where relief in fees to the deserving students will be provided. The construction of a vocational training centre and industrial home for widows is also part of the project. Similarly, a modern hospital on the pattern of Shaukat Khanum Hospital will be constructed in the proposed city where deserving patients will be provided free medical treatment.
