Japan International Cooperation Agency (Jica) organised a workshop on export of apparel at a local hotel on Thursday which was participated by the members of Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA) and PHMA.
The objective of the workshop was to impart awareness among the participants about market diversification and skill development.
Addressing the workshop, Chairman PRGMEA Jawwad A Chaudhary thanked Jica for extending their help and support. He said 'we will go ahead with the support of Jica and subsequently will be able to enhance our value added exports.'
He further said 'we need to go according to the market demand' and added the cost of production in Pakistan was higher as compared to our neighbouring countries.
