President Zardari grieved over death of mine workers

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday expressed deep sorrow over the death of workers in a mine collapse in Batkanala village near Abbottabad.

The President ordered compensation to the families of deceased workers.

In a message, the President offered condolence with the bereaved families and prayed for the departed souls to rest in peace.

Since the mine collapse on Wednesday, nine bodies have been recovered and search for others is going on. Fourteen mine workers were feared buried alive.
