Swat receives snow, rains

MINGORA: Rains and snow have once again started in plain and mountainous areas of district resulting in chilly weather.

According to reports, the plain areas of district Swat included Mingora has started receiving rain while the upper areas included: Kalam, Malam Jabba, Marguzar, Shangla Top, Miandam, Bahrain and other areas mountainous areas have received snowfall resulting in filling down of mercury to -14 centigrade.

In wake of the snowfall, closure of major roads in the mountainous areas has badly affected the routine of life. The upper areas and nearby mountains of Mingora City are blanketed with snow.
