Rain forecast for city

LAHORE: The overcast conditions in provincial capital on Wednesday turned the weather pleasant and bringing down the temperature to 32 degree celsius.

According to Met office, rain-thundershower with gusty winds/duststorm is expected at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, D.G Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during the next 24 hours.

According to synoptic situation, seasonal low lies over north Balochistan. Moist currents are penetrating over central and southern parts of the country.

However, rain-thundershower with gusty winds occurred at isolated places in Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur and D.G.Khan during last 24 hours.

Rainfall (mm) during last 24 hours: Lahore (PU 71, City 29, AP 08), Khanpur 11, Layyah 03, Okara, Gujranwala and Mangla 01.

Experts have predicted the prevailing weather condition would persist with even more intensity during the next few days.

The farmers have been advised to save rainwater in rain-fed areas to irrigate crops.

A spokesman of the department said in rain-fed areas crops are dependent on rains so farmers should stay vigilant and keep monitoring the weather predictions.
