KARACHI: A team of Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) has arrested four members of a notorious outlaws' gang, who were involved in cases of bank robberies and kidnapping for ransom.
According to an official press release issued here Saturday, AVCC has arrested four accused identified as Saleem Jokhyo, Ghulam Nabi Bhatti, Raheel Brohi and Saeed Akhter.
During interrogation it was revealed that the gang is involved in heinous crimes including bank robberies and kidnapping for ransom.
The police claimed that the gang has looted Rs. 8.5 million from NBP Pano Aqal branch, Rs 1.5 million for ABL branch Nousharo Feroz and Rs 2 million from UBL branch in Karachi.
The gang was also involved in kidnapping for ransom cases, it said adding further investigation is underway.
