MULTAN: Deputy Commissioner Zahid Suhail directed the officials concerned for setting up 12 Ramzan bazaars from May 14.
Chairing a meeting, the DC said that setting up Ramzan bazaars was to provide daily use items to people at subsidized rates during the holy month of Ramzan.
The agriculture department will also set up fair price shops in the Ramzan bazaars, he said and added that parking facility, security and other facilities would be provided to people in the Bazaars.
He said that separate counters also be established for disabled, senior citizens and women. It is duty of the district administration to offer maximum facilities to citizens in Ramzan-ul-Mubarak, he added.
On this occasion, assistant director agriculture marketing Asif Raza was also instructed to ensure regular monitoring of auction of fruits and vegetables.
