Despite many attempts of apologizing for its act, looks like Facebook is still guilty and wants to attract users back. Facebook recently released its biggest ever ad campaign in which it reminds viewers of old times and sort of apologizes.

The social media site was found guilty of misusing millions of users’ personal details and the entire Cambridge Analytica scandal, hence leading to CEO Mark Zuckerberg testifying in front of the Congress. Facebook and Zuckerberg even apologized publicly through print ads in newspapers. But now, they have released an ad in which users are reminded of how Facebook used to be and how they are trying to make it the same again.

Zuckerberg apologizes for Facebook data breach scandal in newspaper ads

Under the tagline ‘Facebook Here Together’, after reminding us of the good old times, the one minute long ad comes to stop and says, 'But then something happened'. It has then cited spam, fake news, data misuse, and clickbait as things 'that is going to change' and promises that ‘Facebook will do more to keep you safe and protect your privacy’ along with reminding people what they signed up for what it was built for.

With this ad campaign, Facebook aims to get back its users and make them believe in Facebook and Zuckerberg again as they try to improve themselves and get back to the positive side of the platform.
