Mustafa Kamal challenges census results in SC

Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) Chief Mustafa Kamal filed a petition on Wednesday in the Supreme Court (SC), challenging the results of the census.
In the petition, Kamal stated that according to National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) the registered number of people in Karachi is 21.5 million. Whereas, the census results showed the population in Karachi to be 16 million.
The petition also stated that many areas of Karachi were not even included in the census. The petition further stated that Karachi's population was under counted deliberately.

The petition named Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, NADRA chairman, federal government, and others as respondents in the case.
Speaking to the media, Kamal said that it was a conspiracy to destroy Pakistan by reducing Karachi's population. He said that the Chief Justice had said that he would not take a suo motu notice regarding this issue so he had filed a petition in the SC.
