ISLAMABAD: A referendum should be held for ascertaining people's support regarding creation of Hazara, Sairiki and other provinces in the country, said Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Dr Farooq Sattar.
Talking to media outside Parliament House he said Mutahida Qaumi Movement could not be impeded for raising the voice of the depressed. Hazara province is must as it is generating 70 percent revenues and people there will have to be empowered.
The new year 2012 would be the year of people's empowerment, Sattar said Southern Punjab should be granted autonomy.
Responding to a question he said there is no need to constitute any commission for new provinces. MQM has already moved 20th constitutional amendment bill.
