NAIROBI: Kenya's shilling jumped to its highest level since July 2015, helped by inflows from the horticulture sector and commercial banks selling dollars, traders said on Friday.
At 0913 GMT, commercial banks quoted the shilling at 99.95/100.05 to the dollar, up from Thursday's close of 100.35/55.
The shilling last traded below the psychologically important 100 level on July 8, 2015, when it was at 99.80/99.90 per dollar.
