Pakistan legendary fast bowler Wasim Akra has rejected reports of him joining idol Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI). However, Akram informed that he do support Imran Khan.
“I do support Imran bhai (brother) but I haven’t joined any political party,” said Akram, quoted Gulf News.
Akram considers Khan as one who helped him in his career, and has many a times showered praise on the country’s World Cup winning skipper.
“Imran was instrumental for my success. But for him I wouldn’t have known how to bowl to some of the best batsmen in the world. It was he who told me the strong points and weaknesses of some of the top batsmen. I have always listened to his advice very carefully,” Akram, stated earlier.
The Sultan of Swing was in news lately after he was seen in action alongside a six-and-a-half years old left-arm fast bowler Hasan Akhtar, the youngster bowled a few swinging deliveries with jaw dropping perfection impressing Akram.
