PML-F challenges appointment of Sindh caretaker chief minister

Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) on Tuesday challenged the appointment of Sindh caretaker chief minister in the Sindh High Court (SHC). Jam Madad Ali and Nusrat Sahar Abbasi of PML-F filed the petition at the SHC and maintained that the appointment was made following an unconstitutional procedure.
They requested the court to declare the appointment null and void. The PPP and MQM had decided to nominate Justice (Retd) Zahid Qurban Alvi as the caretaker chief minister of Sindh. Alvi took was sworn in last week.
