KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the upper side on Wednesday at 24,637.10 points with a positive change of 276.41 and volume of 106,437,900 shares. High and Low were 24,749.32 and 24,360.24 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 20 were up, 10 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 207,071,650 shares. Total companies traded were 389 of which 190 were positive, 179 were negative and 20 were unchanged.

Chemicals was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 44,590,550 shares. It was followed by Commercial Banks with a total traded volume of 23,151,200 shares.

The top three advancers were Unilever Pakistan Food Limited with a volume of 260 and price per share of 9,855 (42.50), Ghandhara Industries Limited with a volume of 150,500 and price per share of 863.80 (41.13), Service Industries Limited with a volume of 13,500 and price per share of 807.54 (31.28).

The top three decliners were Bata Pakistan Limited with a volume of 240 and price per share of 2,765.55 (-88.82), Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited with a volume of 60 and price per share of 1,975 (-24.75), Indus Motor Company Limited with a volume of 14,900 and price per share of 1,749.93 (-21.55).
