Watch: Sarfraz and co bash Mir Hamza after Gladiators defeat

The Pakistan Super League's (PSL) first eliminator lived up to its name after offering another classical thriller to the audiences at Lahore’s Gaddafi and those watching on the screens, as Peshawar Zalmi managed to march a step ahead at the final after beating the Quetta Gladiators by a run.

However, apart from being a thrilling encounter, the match will also be remembered for the scolding Quetta Gladiators fast bowler Mir Hamza received from skipper Sarfraz Ahmed and head coach Moin Khan as he walked to the dugout. The youngster failed to run for the second run and was run out on the last ball, which could have allowed a super over for the two sides.
Moin Khan and Sarfaraz Ahmed not very happy with Mir Hamza for not running 2 off the last ball of the match #PSL2018 #PZvQG pic.twitter.com/TPz5IywKR1

Gladiators' fans too were quick to criticize Hamza, as they vented up their anger on social media.
Leave out poor batting. If that Mir Hamza guy is not able to complete 2 at the nonstriker end for a missed catch at long on (considering last ball as well), this is some serious fitness issue. I would send him for fitness training with Moin Khan's son.

In scenarios such as this, the batsman at the bowling end is mentally prepared for running between the wickets. He leaves the crease even before bowler releases the ball. Mir Hamza did a horrible job running. It could have been a super over. Poor soul knocked his team out! #PZvQG

It was a thriller and Anwar Ali did an awesome job...but @TeamQuetta would have pushed it for a super over had the non striker Mir Hamza ran the 1st real hard & returned back fast. It was doable. But I guess it’s all done & duster till next year. #HBLPSL3T20

Mir Hamza got the scolding of his life when Coach Moin and Captain Sarfraz blasted him for not being ready for a second run! Had he been ready it would have ended in a super over!

What the fuck was Mir Hamza doing ball watching? Not his shot, not his wicket. 3 needed. He should have been in the crease after having taken 2 even before the throw. They're not even teaching these turds the basics? Losers

However, others pointed out Hamza was just a youngster and were optimistic that the fast bowler would come out stronger in the future.
What a match !! T20 at its best . Brilliant show from both teams. Congratulations @PeshawarZalmi
There will be a lot of criticism on Mir Hamza but he just did a fast bowler thing :)
Great fight showed by @TeamQuetta in the end. #CricketComesHome @thePSLt20— Muhammad Wasim (@MuhammadWasim77) March 20, 2018
