KARACHI: Positive trend was witnessed at Karachi Stock market on Wednesday on the back of investors interest in some selective stocks mainly in banking, cement and energy sectors.

The KSE-100 index increased by 41.21 points and closed at 11,352.59 level.

Trading volume increased to 46.028 million shares.

Hub power was volume leader with 13.817 million shares and gained Re 0.39 to close at Rs.34.50 followed by Fatima fertilizer co, that lost Re 0.45 to close at Rs 22.54 with 5.193 million shares. Of the total 315 active stocks, 104 advanced and 106 declined while the value of 105 stocks remained unchanged.
