Freezing assets: Court reserves verdict on Dar petition

ISLAMABAD: The accountability court reserved verdict regarding Senator Ishaq Dar’s plea challenging freezing of his assets, in a reference filed by National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Accountability Court-I Judge Muhammad Bashir after going through the arguments reserved the verdict and will announce it on February 14.
During proceedings, Qazi Misbah counsel for Ishaq Dar requested the court to dismiss its earlier order of freezing and seizure of Dar’s assets.
NAB prosecutor Imran Shafique opposed the plea, arguing that the defendant should have approached the court within 14 days of the order which was not done.
To this, Misbah responded and said that he received the order late otherwise swift response would have been conducted.
