Prices moved both ways on the wholesale grain market on Tuesday in process of trading, dealers said. On the cereal side masoor dal Canada rose by Rs 200 to Rs 6800, urad Burma, however, low type shed Rs 100 to Rs 2400 and better variety lost Rs 200 to Rs 2800, wheat old fell by Rs 5 to Rs 2715, the new wheat Bardan gained Rs 15 to Rs 2765 and gur low quality was higher by Rs 100 to Rs 4500, while the best type retained the overnight level at Rs 4550, they said.
On the grams sector prices stabilised as only Bajra low type was up by Rs 300 to Rs 2600 and good quality picked up Rs 250 to Rs 3600, they said. Similarly only change was seen on the seed counter, where cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh low type appreciated by Rs 50 to Rs 550, the best type, however, lost the same amount to Rs 750, they added.
