Pakistan Muslim League (N) chief Muhammad Mian Nawaz Sharif here on Sunday said that Chaudhry brothers would be welcomed to the PML-N fold if they apologised to the nation for supporting a dictator. Talking with media persons following the announcement of Marvi Memon to join the PML-N, Sharif showed determination to fight all those elements who led country to chaos.
He said that his party had rendered sacrifices and learnt lessons but the PPP had forgotten its goals and mission for which they too had rendered sacrifices.
He disputed claims that his party was playing a role of a friendly opposition and said that if his party had been in power, loadshedding and several other problems of the country would have been resolved.
Meanwhile, Ch Shujaat Hussan, head of the PML-Q, here in response to the Nawaz's offer asked leadership of the PML-N to first offer apology for remaining with a dictator 15 years ago.
Shujaat said that as a lot of time had passed away, they could sit together in the national interest.
Earlier, leading woman political activist Marvi Memon announced to join the PML-N.
She said that she would work as a worker and strive for the party in that position.
Justifying her joining Nawaz League, she said, after three years she got to know that she could not play her political role effectively with her previously party. Politics was not possible in a establishment sponsored party, she added.
"I found Mian Nawaz more serious and during meetings with him my concerns have been removed," Marvi said.
