The Karachi Electric Supply Company, in a major value addition to its alternate arrangements, has established an unprecedented, landmark system of online bill payment service with 12 leading banks of the country. In partnership with major banks, the KESC has kicked off the online service and has become the first power utility in Pakistan to bring the convenience of an integrated and round the clock online bill payment service.
Customers can now pay their monthly electricity bill instantly within due date by logging on to KESC official website www.kesc.com.pk from anywhere in the world, and pay by using their 13 digit account number. This convenient service saves them from waiting for the printed bill to arrive and physically visiting bank branches and standing in queues.
The banks which have been connected to KESC's online bill payment network are: Allied Bank, Burj Bank, Bank Al Habib, Citibank, HBL, KASB Bank, MCB Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Summit Bank, Samba Bank, Soneri Bank and UBL. Customers having account in any of these banks can utilise this facility by getting registered for online banking services by their bank, if they are not already registered. The KESC plans to introduce a number of other e-services for its customers, in line with its customer centric strategy.
They can also visit their own internet banking page any time on any day and pay their power bills by entering their 13 digit KESC account number by opening the power utility section in the utility column. Their KESC bill amount would appear on their internet banking site within seconds through the integrated network and they can make the payment through a simple process taking less than one minute.-PR
