Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal (PBM) would provide sponsorships to all orphan students of National University of Modern Languages (NUML), to make them active and educated member of the society. This was stated by Bait-ul-Maal Chairman Zumurad Khan while talking to NUML Rector Major General (Retd) Masood Hasan on Wednesday. The Chairman, during the meeting, said that geographically Pakistan was situated in a zone where different natural calamity and disaster continued to hit the country and different disastrous floods, earthquakes and epidemics had rendered thousands of children parentless.
The dilemma of orphanage has really made the affected children a detached part of the society. He informed the NUML Rector and DG that Bait-ul-Maal had started a project "Sweet Homes" for orphan where orphan children were provided free shelter, food and education.
A Sports Gala is being arranged at National Sport Gymnasium, Islamabad for these orphans where 3,000 such children from Sweet Homes situated across the country would participate and showcase their talent. NUML students could volunteer their services for the management of this event, he added.
Moreover, he said Bait-ul-Maal had already announced 100 scholarships for deserving students of NUML and it was also announced that all those students who were orphans would be offered scholarship on taking admission in NUML.
