18 cops have been awarded different punishments including dismissal from service by City Police Officer (CPO) Azhar Hameed Khokhar on various charges. According to details, the CPO took action against the cops here during a meeting held at Police Line No-1 which was chaired by him.
Those who were dismissed from service are Sub-Inspector (SI) Muhammad Zarat, Head Constable Muslim Khan, Constables Zeeshan, Atif, Azmat Hussain, Rafaqat Hussain and Sujahat Hussain.
Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), Ghulam Rasool, SI, Manzoor Hussain, SI, Riaz, SI, Muhammad Khan, SI, Muhammad Mansha, SI, Manzoor Ahmed, SI, Zafar Ali, SI, Abdul Hameed, SI, Ayub, SI, Ghulam Mustafa and SI, Fatah Khan were awarded other punishments including "Sansoor", stoppage of annual increments and forfeiture of service. Spokesman for the CPO said the police officials, who were awarded different punishments, were found guilty of various charges including irresponsible attitude, negligence and absence from duty.
