Commemorative Arfa postage stamp hailed

General Secretary Foundation for Rehabilitation and Education of Slow Children (Fresh) Ashba Kamran has welcomed issuance of a special ticket stamp by the Pakistan Post to commemorate Arfa Karim, once the youngest Microsoft Certified Professional.Arfa, the recipient of presidential award, was a pride of Pakistan acknowledged by another international genius Bill Gates, she said in a statement issued here on Friday.
Ashba said all slow learners at the Fresh prayed and watched her progress closely along with the well-wishers out of epileptic attack. But her suffering from idiopathic epilepsy seizures ultimately led to brain damage and Arfa left us full of grief and sorrow, she added.
She said the Fresh is working on children facing learning difficulties due to brain-relating medical problems single-handedly, as very little is being done by the government in this regard. She deplored that the government was not serious in legislation for slow learners and facilitates the society to overcome brain-relating problems. But still the Fresh was advocating, lobbying and agitating for this cause, she added.
