District Coordin-ation Officer (DCO) Lahore Ahad Cheema has directed the concerned town officers to complete work on development projects by March 31. He was addressing a meeting here on Thursday, which was held to review progress of development schemes, disclosed an official.
The DCO said construction schemes and welfare-oriented projects should be completed on time and after completion a report should also be submitted in this regard. "Funds have been released for the schemes and thus pace of work should be expedited," he added. He also directed officers to personally monitor the schemes and said that no negligence would be tolerated in this regard. "Funds will not be a hurdle for smooth and speedy work," he added.
Meanwhile, during a meeting of the members of Administrative Committee of Miani Sahib Graveyard, the DCO has imposed a ban on the reservation of graves at Miani Sahib Graveyard hence all reservation applications are rejected. He also decided to expand Miani Sahib Graveyard's Janazagah. In the meeting a proposal to construct a basement parking under the Janazagah was also reviewed. The DCO Lahore also directed the concerned officials to improve security of the graveyard.
