The met office has forecast cold and dry weather in most parts of the country in the next 24 hours. "Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. A fresh westerly trough is likely to affect western parts of Balochistan from Sunday night," the office said in its weather summary.
It said, however, light rain with light snowfall over the hills of Kashmir and adjoining area was expected at a few places on Saturday night. In Kalam the lowest temperature was recorded was minus 15 degree centigrade, Parachinar minus 11 degree centigrade Kalat minus 9 degree centigrade, Hunza minus 8 degree centigrade, Astore and Skardu minus 7 degree centigrade, each, the office said. Karachi weather is expected to remain dry with maximum temperature between 10 to 12 degree centigrade in the next 24 hours, it said.
