Prices fall in modest trade on grain market

Declining trend was seen on the wholesale grain market on Thursday in process of modest trading, dealers said. On the cereal side wheat old Bardan was quoted at Rs 2650-2660 and wheat New Bardan was quoted at Rs 2665-2675, other commodity items did not show any change due to balanced demand and supply position, they said.
On the seed sector castorseed Lasbela lost Rs 150 to Rs 2000, castorseed Sindh shed Rs 50 to Rs 1950, cottonseed oilcake with bag low type was higher by Rs 100 to Rs 650 and the best type fell by Rs 50 to Rs 750, they said. On the rice counter Irri-6 Sindh low type was unchanged at Rs 3000 while the good type was lower by Rs 50 to Rs 3050, other items retained the overnight levels, they said. On the grams side rates were unchanged, they said.
