I sincerely congratulate the Pakistan Customs and Customs fraternity world over on International Customs Day. International Customs Day is always a pleasant reminder of the significant role that Pakistan Customs play in facilitating international trade through promoting enhanced services to global community while guarding national interests simultaneously.
Pakistan Customs being fully aware of the responsibility in meeting national and international standards required in view of its role has always taken a lead in development of basic infrastructure, software and systems development and updated training of its staff. Development of separate Gwadar Collectorate with fully functioning subordinate field offices together with implementation of indigenous WeBOC software are the latest example of its commitment.
I am confident that all of the officers and staff of Pakistan Customs will strive hard to make their contribution in protecting the economic and security interest of the country in co-ordination with other organisations of the world to successfully connect different economics in optimal utilisation of their resources. This customs day ie January, 26th 2012 shall hopefully introduce a new chapter in this history of Customs by achieving excellence as a world class organisation which will endeavour to achieve global cause of economic development and prosperity.
