Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that office of Benazir Income Support Programme would soon be set up at Sialkot. BISP would be made more effective with concept to bringing poor segment of the society would out of financial constrains and government has formulated a strategy to serve the people without any discrimination and political affiliation across the country, she said.
Talking to media men, here she said the step was being taken to enabling the people get maximum benefits of the programme. The Information Minister observed that in order to transfer the benefits of people's friendly policies of President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) is best instrument. The PPP-led government under vision of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto was making strenuous efforts for economic empowerment of women folk across the country and BISP was playing highly laudable services, she said. Dr Firdous further said that BISP office was playing an instrumental role in making the programme complete successful.
