Women leaders' summit on January 25

Arrangements have been finalised for holding an 'International Women Leaders Summit' in Karachi on January 25 as part of Women in Business Conference (WIBCON) Series for professional women. The moot is being organised by Pakistan Society for Training and Development and all arrangements have been finalised in this regard by the organisers concerned to make it a great success.
PSTD board members, Aamir Niazi and Kunwar Saeed expressed the society's resolve to promote such forums for learning and networking opportunities among women professionals in Pakistan. They said that the moot is being attended by delegates from South Asian and Middle East countries besides host country Pakistan, said a spokesman of the board, here on Friday.
Representatives of leading business organisations including Pakistan Business Council President, Asad Umar, President OICCI, Naveed A. Khan and President Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mian Abrar will discuss role of businesses to promote gender diversity. A panel comprising Begum Nasreen Haque, Ayesha Aziz, Nadira Panjwani and Yasmin Lari will deliberate on success of women in public and private sectors while Ayesha Tammy Haq will lead the session on 'Local Entrepreneurs Success Stories' with Sana Safinaz, Farzeen Irtizaz and local entrepreneurs.
Main speakers of the moot include former Minister from Bangladesh, Rokia Afzal Rehman who will deliver keynote address on "Enterprising Women-Lessons from South and Far East Asia", social activist and Voice of Afghan Radio during the Afghan War, Jamila Mujahid from Afghanistan will share her experiences with the participants on "Tools of Education for Afghan Women during War", famous Turkish writer Elif Shafak will speak on "Women, Modern Day Living and Spirituality" and first Emmy Award winner from Pakistan Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy will discuss "Women Facing Challenges of Extremism".
Chief Executive, New World Concepts, Ms Yasmin Hyder, meanwhile, has stated that driving force of this moot is to provide a forum for dynamic female leaders, entrepreneurs, opinion makers in the region, to explore their potential, share their success and inspire many more to take their lead.
