Several changes were seen on the wholesale grain and seed market on Wednesday as some leading buyers showed interest in fresh deals, dealers said. On the cereal side gur was trading at Rs 4200-5200, masoor Canada was quoted at Rs 5000, masoor dal Canada also registered higher at Rs 6000, urad Burma low type rose by Rs 100 to Rs 2500 while the best type did not show any change at Rs 3000, guwar Sindh and Mardan lost Rs 300 to Rs 9300-9400, they said.
On the grams sector gram Australia low type picked up Rs 200 to Rs 4800 and best type was higher by Rs 200 to Rs 5700, grams 50x50 low type rose by Rs 150 to Rs 5450 and the good type gained Rs 250 to Rs 5750 and bajra low type retained its overnight level at Rs 2400 while the best quality gained Rs 400 to Rs 3200, they said.
On the seed counter cottonseed oilcake with bag low type was down by Rs 100 to Rs 600 while the best type retained the overnight level at Rs 800, castorseed Nawabshah shed Rs 125 to Rs 2500-2525, Dadulane was quoted at Rs 2200-2225 and rapeseed cake was lower by Rs 20 to Rs 810-820, other items held the overnight levels as supply was enough to meet the demand, they said.
