Islamabad Police have arrested eight outlaws including a Proclaimed Offender (PO) from various areas and recovered fake currency and illegal weapons, a police spokesman said on Tuesday. According to the details, ASI Abdul Ghafoor from Tarnol police arrested two accused Ramazan, Ashraf and recovered fake currency Rs 20,000 from their possession.
ASI Muhammad Sadiq from Margallah police nabbed a proclaimed offender Fawad-ul-Maluk wanted to police in a case no.369/11. ASI Nisar Ahmed from Anti-Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) arrested Akbar Khan and recovered Honda Civic car (FDU-3200) stolen from area of New Multan police station at Multan. On a tip-off, Sub-Inspector Asjad Mehmud from Sabzi Mandi police nabbed Raza Khan and Waseem Haroon and recovered two 30 bore pistols from them.
ASI Asif Hussain arrested Naveed Ahmed for having 7 MM rifle. Cases have been registered against the nabbed persons and further investigation is under way. SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik has appreciated their performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing to curb activities of anti-social elements.
