Tourism Corporation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has decided that it will take all stakeholders, including students, academia, members of civil society organisations, on-board to formulate new youth policy in the province. For the purpose, TCKP had announced a comprehensive programme to hold seminars, consultative meetings.
Preliminary, a two-day seminar will be organised on January 27 in Peshawar in which students, youth, scholars, academia, member of civil society and leaders put forward their suggestions to devise new policy for the youth. More than 150 students from all over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will attend the seminar while distinguished speakers will present their views and suggestions. A meeting of all stakeholders and civil society members will be held to draft a youth policy and their role in it on February 4.
At the final stage, the focus group meeting will also be held on February 11, which comprised on representatives of all stakeholders and government officials to review the previous two policies and recommend further amendments into it. The policy will be presented to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister, Ameer Haider Hoti at the closing ceremony, which was scheduled at same day. A presentation will be given to the chief minister about the pre and post planning of the seminar and future initiatives of TCKP regarding the role of youth and outcomes of the policy.
