Ali Hamdani, MD +ACY- CEO Siemens Pakistan expressed confidence in the future of Siemens and Pakistan at the 59th AGM of the company held at Siemens Industrial Complex at Site here. Responding to the inquiries from shareholders about the future outlook of the company, he said Siemens has great infrastructure and resources and they are the only company that has such a vast portfolio that can answer many of the problems facing Pakistan.
He said there is a shortfall in the power supply situation and when it is addressed they will be in the forefront because of their capabilities and local manufacturing. He said the company is focusing on alternate energy especially in solar and expects to make ground in that direction. Hamdani said there are always ups and downs in business but Siemens has the potential to make a strong comeback and with his dedicated team he foresees a good future for the company. He said he has great confidence in his company and his country Pakistan.
Earlier, Syed Babar Ali, Chairman introduced Hamdani to the shareholders and said the company was very fortunate to have someone like Hamdani who has a distinguished record in Siemens in various countries including Middle East. Shareholders expressed mixed sentiments and while some praised the company for giving 100 percent dividend in difficult times others said they expected better dividend or some bonus shares. All shareholders were however confident about the future prospects of the company.-PR
