The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday summoned Secretary Health Department and Medical Superintendent (MS) Mayo Hospital in a contempt of court petition filed by a lady sweeper-cum-ward cleaner seeking issuance of her service book for the last three years.
Petitioner Razia Bibi submitted that she was re-instated by the LHC about three years ago. And, she handed over her service book to MS for its preparation. But, the MS Mayo Hospital and secretary health did not pay heed on her dozens requests to prepare the service book as per the service record and to clear the same from AG office. Meanwhile, the respondent secretary and MS refused to prepare her service book. Due to non-preparation of the service book the salary of the petitioner had been affected and no increments had been given to the petitioner so far, she maintained.
