Promotion of business activity in southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Smeda asked for preparing proposals
National Assembly Deputy Speaker Faisal Karim Kundi has directed the officials Small & Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Smeda) to prepare proposals for promotion of business activities and creation of employment opportunities in the southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
He was talking to provincial chief of Smeda, Javed Iqbal Khattak in a meeting here in Federal Lodges on Tuesday. Smeda Manager Sarmad Hussein Khan was also present on the occasion. Kundi also directed for maximum focus on the problems of the business community of KP southern districts in the document.
He directed for maximum facilitation of the business community of D I Khan in the project of Economic Revitalisation of Khyber Pakhtukwha and FATA (ERKF) as the people of the district have also been affected by the militancy and flood of 2010, but had not received any financial assistance.
He directed for preparation of proposals for establishment of common facilitation centre (CFC) and expansion of the office of the regional business centre (RBC) of Smeda for creation of business and employment opportunities in the area. The proposals and recommendations prepared in this regard, he said, would be taken up with Federal Minister for Industries & Production for inclusion in the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for next financial year.
