The rupee was down against dollar and euro on currency market on Monday, they said. The rupee drifted lower by 15 paisa in relation to dollar for buying and selling at 90.75 and 90.80, they said.
INTERBANK MARKET: OPEN MARKET RATES: The rupee shed 10 paisa in relation to dollar for buying and selling at 91.20 and 91.40, they said. Against euro the rupee also lost 37 paisa for buying and selling at Rs 115.85 and Rs 116.35, they said.
Reuters adds: In the first Asian trade, euro hit a 16-month low versus dollar on Monday, hurt by negative news from the euro zone over the weekend, with the risks of further declines seen in coming months. The euro hit its lowest level since September 2010 of $1.2666 on trading platform EBS at one point. Against yen, euro hit an 11-year low of 97.28 yen, its lowest level since December 2000.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The rupee lost 20 paisa on buying side and 30 paisa on selling side against dollar at Lahore currency market on Monday. According to dealers, the dollar resumed trading on a positive note and closed higher at Rs 91.30 and Rs 91.80 as buying and selling rates against last Saturday's Rs 91.10 and Rs 91.50, respectively. Similarly, the rupee also declined against pound sterling, which was purchased and sold at Rs 140.20 and Rs 141.00 against last week's Rs 140.00 and Rs 140.80, dealers said.
RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The dollar showed an improvement of Rs 1 against the local currency at the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi here on Monday.
The dollar resumed trading at Rs 90 (buying) and Rs 90.20 (selling) against last rate of Rs 89 (buying) and Rs 89.20 (selling). It did not observe further change in the second session and closed at Rs 90 (buying) and Rs 90.20 (selling).
Pound Sterling opened at Rs 139 (buying) and Rs 140 (selling) against same last rate. It did not observe further change in the evening session and closed at Rs 139 (buying) and Rs 140 (selling).
