Chehlum of Imam Hussain(AS), Data Sahab Urs: police to remain on high alert

Police will remain on high alert in order to maintain peaceful atmosphere and harmony in the provincial metropolis while more than five thousand police Jawans would provide security cover, while armed personnel would also be deputed to ensure peace.
Metropolis administration has been directed special surveillance and checking of all hotels, inns and bus and wagon stands to ward of any possibility of subversion and to ensure law and order on the occasions of Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain(AS) and Data Sahab Urs. Traffic Police and other law enforcement agencies are making effective arrangements to ensure smooth flow of traffic on these occasions.
CCPO Ahmad Raza Tahir said that all entry and exit points of the city will be covered and roof top deployment will be made on different routes. Ahmad Raza Tahir directed that parking be made at a safe distance, preferably 200 metres, from venue of the processions Urs, whereas mobile squads, motor bikes and cars of Elite Force would also be deployed on these occasions. CCPO informed that crises management centers have been established in the city, which would function round-the-clock, while a special control room has also been set up in the office of CCPO for co-ordination between various agencies.
Ahmad Raza Tahir informed that, in order to maintain peaceful atmosphere and harmony in the provincial metropolis during Chelum of Hazrat Imam Hussain(AS) and Data Sahab Urs, a comprehensive security plan has been chalked out after consultation with leaders and notables of the city.
