Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Sardar Yaqub Khan and Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majid called on Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa at the Governor's House here on Thursday. The AJK president, the prime minister and some of their cabinet members were in Lahore in connection with the 84th birth anniversary of PPP founder Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
The political situation in the country came under discussion during the meeting. Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) AJK leadership praised the Punjab governor for making the Governor's House accessible to workers and the common man. They also visited an exhibition of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto's pictures by Agha Feroze, displayed at the Darbar Hall of the Governor's House. Later, Governor Latif Khan Khosa, AJK President Sardar Yaqub Khan, PM Chaudhry Abdul Majid and other PPP leaders and workers cut a cake to mark the anniversary of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. Begum Mussarat Latif Khosa and other PPP women leaders were also present.
